BackGround:
My music experience started when I was in 5th grade playing the drums with pencils as drum sticks and a coffee can as a snare. My friend was playing the air guitar. The song we were jamming to was John Cougar's Hurt So Good!!! MTV came on the scene and that's all we watched for the entire summer, glued to TV watching music videos and concerts. Little did we know that we would form a band in the years to come. In eight grade I purchased my first album. Judas Priest's "Screaming for Vengeance" which blew me away. Later on I got into the Beatles, Beatles, Beatles. My passion for music continued to grow from day to day. My brother Mark started taking drum lessons and he was jamming with a friend of mine who played guitar. I would listen to them jam on the only tune they knew, "Twist and Shout". I was eager to learn guitar so I was fortunate enough to have one in my home, which belonged to my Dad. I started teaching myself on his semi-hollow Grestch. I finally reached a point were I needed some instruction. I started taking lessons and my first band was formed "The Revivals". The Revivals were trying to revive Rock'n'Roll in the midst of the one hit wonder 80's. I played throughout my high school and college years in this band. After graduating from college, I joined a cover band "Guilty Party" and played with them for over 3 years. These guys were great musicians who became dear friends. Upon taking a break from the band thing, I didn't do much until meeting up with Bill Meech at a club one night in 2001. A mutual friend introduced us and we started jamming together. We added my brother Mark to the lineup creating RiverCity WillCo.
