BackGround:
First musical memories involved staring up at the big black RCA radio in the kitchen and hearing Aretha Franklin sing R E S P E C T .... and all the while wondering how the hell the radio station was able to get her to sing that song the same way every single day!!! After discovering my Mom's 45s I became hooked on old Vocal groups and R&B classics by James Brown, Sam And Dave, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Lil' Richard and early Rock n Roll. Elvis, Beatles, Stones, Creedence, and of course the mighty Led Zeppelin, the Who and Aerosmith. What began as an escape soon became a way of life...throughout school and the good and bad days, Rock and Roll always came through to save some sanity and to celebrate life. I learn my lessons well and got in with a great little band in the early 80's....had a ball, raised some hell and made lifelong friendships. But as it sometimes happens...you grow up, move on and new musical influences enter into life....Alternative Rock, Bluegrass, Reggae and folk music all took on greater significance... and as the new millennium began, I found myself back to basics and having a great time singing and playing music with new friends who share a common love of the heartfelt groove.
